TYPE LOCATION: King County, Washington; feet east, feet north of center sec. 2, TN., R.5E. RANGE IN CHARACTERISTICS: The organic deposits range in depth from 51 inches to more than 40 feet. Mean annual soil temperature is 47 to 52 degrees F. The Sensitive Ares Ordinance (SAO) defines significant erosion hazard areas as those soils in King County that may experience severe to very severe erosion hazard. The SAO adopts the soils definition in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil conservation Service (SCS) King County Coil Survey and the current draft of the Snoqualmie Pass Area Soil Survey (ND).
